2024 International Conference on Educational Development and Social Culture (EDSC 2024) was successfully concluded on November 16 2024, hosted by Guilin University Of Aerospace Technology. Nearly 150 experts and scholars from well-known universities and research institutions at home and abroad participated in the conference online to discuss in depth the cutting-edge issues in the fields of education development, management science and social culture.
This conference focused on multi-field cross-cutting issues in education development, management science and social culture. The experts at the conference conducted in-depth discussions on carbon emissions, education models, social culture and technological innovation. Among them, Professor Liu Lanjian of Chang'an University started from the measurement, growth patterns and influencing factors of carbon emissions, combined with the case of Xi'an, and demonstrated the practical experience of large and medium-sized cities in responding to carbon emission challenges; Professor Li Liping of Shantou University focused on the undergraduate education model of preventive medicine in China and the United States, and made an in-depth comparison from the perspective of competency cultivation, providing new ideas for the internationalization of education. Professor Wang Wenxin of Shantou University discussed the application of artificial intelligence and big data in intelligent emergency response, and emphasized the necessity and innovative path of building resilient communities.
Professor Liu Qingshun of Zhejiang Agricultural and Forestry University started his research from the impact of Internet use on fertility culture, and analyzed the cultural roots of changes in the age of first marriage based on the data of CGSS2021, providing new data support for sociological research. Professor Zhou Xiaoyong of our school's report revealed the carbon economic inequality in global ICT trade and explored the contradictions and solutions between technological development and environmental sustainability. Professor Visharaj Balakrishnan from the University of Malaya in Malaysia took ASEAN as an example to analyze the practice and reflection of the internationalization of service learning, showing the regionalization and globalization perspectives in educational development. Professor Franco Gandolfi of Georgetown University in the United States focused on the recovery and reconstruction of society after the epidemic, and explored how to move towards a "new normal" under global destruction.
This conference aims to build a high-level communication platform for academic research and practical applications in the fields of educational development, management science and social culture. Participants shared research results through in-depth exchanges, inspired new scientific research directions, and jointly laid the foundation for the future development of related fields.
